Diona Devincenzi

Songwriter / Producer

Diona Devincenzi is a songwriter/producer born in San Francisco and hanging her hat in Nashville. A California native, Diona spent her early years soaking up the rich and diverse music and culture of the San Francisco Bay Area. “I can remember spending hours and hours listening to the radio” says Devincenzi. My brothers and sister wanted to play softball and other sports outside, but I was always hanging out on the couch listening to the latest pop songs. I spent hours and hours turning the dial to find the gems.”

Her obsession continued throughout college. She studied at U.C. Berkeley, focusing on the jazz genre and examining the lyrics and melodies of Tin Pan Alley writers such as Johnny Mercer, Rodgers and Hart, George and Ira Gershwin and Cole Porter and singing in a jazz choir, while on the weekends taking gigs singing those jazz standards around town for private parties and events.

After that, having sang back up for and fronting several bands in the Bay Area, Diona took the brave decision to up sticks and move to Nashville, successfully immersing herself in the craft and business of songwriting. Says Devincenzi “I wanted to become a better songwriter and for me there was only place on a very short list to do that.”

Since then her songs have garnered several independent artist cuts and been featured in numerous hit TV shows and films such as ABC, NBC, Chicago P.D., Mistresses, Hustlers, The View, The Chew, Shark Tank, Fresh Off the Boat, Fashion Police and many more.
